Winners Dirt Oval Race 4 (4/27/10)

RC Fun Hobbies presents the winners of Race 4 Series 1 Mini Late Model Spec. Troy Turner wins race 4 of 7 and currently holds the lead in the points with 36 points and Allen Corbin is 2nd with 34 total points in the series. Woody Trimble has moved into 3rd place with 26 points knocking Phillip Collins back to 4th with 22 points.

Flying Field Update

RC Fun Hobbies is making progress on the flying field. We managed to get the field prepped, packed and smoothed just before the rain. We spread out some grass seed, about 10 pounds. We’ll know if  we have a good stand of grass in about 3 weeks. We plan to work on the field access road soon so keep an eye out for new updates. Here is a few pics of the field.

Attention!! Transmitter Update in Rules

RC Fun Hobbies has made a change in the rules regarding the transmitter used in the Losi Mini Late model class. the only transmitter that can be used is the stock transmitter and stock receiver. The entry in the 1/18 Late model class rule was in errer and points or records will stand as they are.

Oval track record broken

Losi Mini late model race series is going on at RC Fun Hobbies, 3 down and 4 more races to go, every Tuesday night at 6:30 pm. Troy Turner has beat the track record with a 6.3 sec lap, formerly held by Diaz at 6.4 sec.

Mount and broke in a Thunder Tiger 130 motor yesterday. Here is the vid. Motor cranked up great on first start with only 6 revolutions. If your are interested in this plane or motor, come by the shop and check it out.
